1. How long have you been embroidering? How did you start your machine embroidery journey?
I found out that the store that I had managed for 5 years was closing because of Covid, and I was also expecting my first grandchild at the same time, so I decided that I wanted to try my hand at embroidery and crafting.
2. What is your favorite type of project to create?
I love to do baby items, I have really gotten into hooded towels and blankets lately, it is so fun to watch the designs stitch out! It usually makes me laugh when I’m done with them. I also really love your (TSE) designs, the detail in them is amazing and it’s great to watch them come to life at the end.
3. What was the inspiration behind this project?
I just love sunflowers! I was so excited when this design came out, and I had just met a lady who wanted a sunflower design with a towel topper to match and this one was perfect! I will definitely be making this design again, I think it would look great on a pair of jeans.
4. Do you have any tips you can share with our readers?
I think the best thing that I can say is don’t be intimidated by the designs or projects, you just have to go for it! I have tried so many of your in-the-hoop items and I always love them. The projects all come with great instructions, I look forward to doing more of them.
5. How did you find TSE and what is one of your favorite designs?
I found Tattered Stitch Embroideries on Facebook and I’m so glad that I did! Oh there are so many wonderful designs to choose from….. honestly the sunflower is probably one of my favorites, and the gnomes, I am really getting hooked on those! I think my favorite in-the-hoop project has to be the towel topper, I make so many of them!
We also have to mention some of our favorite recent projects from our members. We love what you guys and gals do with our designs! Click on the photos to shop the designs!
